Reel Adventure Fishing started the way most good fishing stories do: with someone who couldn't stay off the water. After years chasing kingfish, snapper, and marlin up and down the Sydney coast, Captain Vinnie built Reel Adventure Fishing to share that obsession with anyone keen enough to set an alarm before sunrise. No oversized fleets, no shoulder-to-shoulder charters — just a fast, well-equipped boat, a small group, and a guide who genuinely wants to see you hook something big.
Meet Captain Vinnie
Vinnie has spent more than 10 years reading Sydney's waters — the reefs that hold snapper on a run-out tide, the drop-offs where kingfish ambush bait balls, the summer windows when marlin push down the coast. That kind of knowledge doesn't come from a guidebook. It comes from thousands of mornings on the water, paying attention.
But knowing where the fish are is only half of it. Vinnie's other reputation on board is as a teacher — patient with first-timers, quick to spot the small technique fix that turns a quiet morning into a bent rod, and just as happy coaching someone through their very first hookup as running a serious session for experienced anglers. Guests tend to say the same thing afterward: they came for the fish and left having actually learned something.
